women's fashions website

This clothing designer and retailer needed to create a web presence to help market her line of unique Moroccan-inspired designs. Her line includes over 140 items and is growing. She wanted to move to full ecommerce when she was ready for that.

I designed and developed all aspects of this site, with the exception of the photography and line drawings (although I created the final versions of those elements as well). I wanted to convey something of the atmosphere of Morocco in the design, with a distinctive and somewhat atypical home page. The site was almost pure CSS layout, and all of the "Original Designs" catalog pages are dynamically created with PHP and MySQL. When the client was ready, the design would readily support the addition of a shopping cart and all the other components of full ecommerce.
