problem
The arts festival needed a poster that would stand out on crowded supermarket notice boards and other typical community locations where it would be placed. They wanted to incorporate images of their current artists' work that conveyed a sense of the breadth of offerings to be found at the festival. The poster needed to reflect the palette and motifs from the website and other collateral. The poster was to be small, about 11 x 17 inches. A fair bit of information and various sponsor logos had to be included and they had a very limited budget.
solution
I developed this poster for them, meeting all their criteria in a design that was quite distinct from the general run of posters and notices it had to compete with. The festival board was very happy with the design, and it helped to produce a very good turnout for the festival.
