Logos and identity related items

invoice sheet from an identity package

portfolio item type(s)
clothing designer form
problem
Develop a suite of business forms, letterhead, and related materials for a clothing designer that reflect her very distinct and personal style.
solution
I developed this look using her own design sketches as soft background images that could be overprinted with form data, and refined the fixed form elements and her "type logo" from numerous scanned samples of her own handwriting. The client was very happy with the results and recently had me update the suite when she moved her company to much larger quarters. I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to produce these pieces.

identity suite

portfolio item type(s)
Westwind identity suite
problem
Create an identity suite for a consulting firm focused on organizational development and training.
solution
I developed the logo image and floating ribbon theme playing off the "Westwind" name, with the ribbons suggesting an upward, positive trend. Printing was 2-color offset, with the cloud image done as a duotone. The way the ribbons fade at the edges of the letterhead avoided a full bleed, allowing use of standard letter-size paper stock in the offset printing. I used Photoshop, Corel Draw, and Quark XPress to produce these pieces. The client was very pleased with the results and reported many compliments on the suite.

logo for a clothing line

portfolio item type(s)
Vagabond logo
problem
Produce a logo for a line of casual resort-wear clothing for women.
solution
I developed this somewhat primitive treatment of the compass rose to suggest casual travel, combining it with the Da Vinci-esque female figure to suggest the classic proportions of the clothing line and the possible genius behind it.

identity suite

portfolio item type(s)
NextQuarter identity suite
problem
Create an identity suite for a business services company that focuses on measuring business processes.
solution
I designed the logo based on the idea of quarter-to-quarter growth in a cyclical fashion, with markers along the way to measure that growth. The arcing tick marks develop the theme of precision measurement as well as growth. I did all the design and production for this suite, using Adobe Illustrator for the layout and Corel Draw for the initial development of the logo.

splash-style home page

portfolio item type(s)
splash-style home page
problem
Develop a splash-screen style home page layout for a B2B services corporation, conveying a theme of monetary growth. The company offers services such as methodologies for very granular metrics development and modeling relevant to a corporation's business processes, to enable quantitative feedback on the effects of changes to those business processes.
solution
I designed the logo based on the idea of quarter-to-quarter growth in a cyclical fashion, with markers along the way to measure that growth. The "arrow graph" is intended to convey the simple idea of monetary growth, with the gridwork below meant to suggest precision. I conceived and produced all graphics in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and produced the HTML code.
